Northern Brace Northern Prosthetics is accredited by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics. The American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics was founded in 1948 as a credentialing organization to promote the welfare of the physically challenged by establishing qualified standards for orthotic and prosthetic practitioners and to advance the highest levels of competency and ethics in the practice of orthotics and prosthetics (Source: ABC Registry and Reference Guide, 2000).
